I felt inspired after reading Mark Suster’s post on products he loves, and figured I’d do a short one of my own. Here we go, a top 10 list of products I love and can’t be without (I’ve tried to leave out the usual suspects Snapchat, FB, Insta):

- Slack: We first met little less than a year ago, and since then you’ve grown on me every day. We use it more and more internally, and we at StartupLab are soon to become paying customers. If someone told me a year ago that I would be loving a newer version of IRC, I would’ve laughed. And here we are 🙂
- Feedly: So, I’m still partly living in the 90s. I use an RSS reader. And my reader of choice is Feedly, always giving me an awesome reading experience.
- Soundcloud: Goodbye Spotify, hello Soundcloud! I find myself using SC more and more (although time spent has not yet surpassed Spotify), obviously because I find an increasing amount of the music I like there.
- Hypem: Many of the songs that end up as Soundcloud-likes are found at Hypem. Excellent service that I’ve been a fan of for many many years, and one of those “gifts that keep on giving”.
- Timehop: Been a fan for years. One of the apps I open every single day. Gives me a short walk down memory lane in the form of pictures, checkins, tweets, posts etc. Strongly recommended.
- Nuzzel: A recent discovery. Shows me what my network has shared, in other words what I should read through every day. One of the apps I open every day
- Peak: I stumbled across Peak when it was announced that the guys from Creandum invested a few months back. Like Nuzzel, it’s an app that I use every day – and my 10 minute brain exercises are always pleasant.
- Oslo Bysykkel: Okay, what I really love are the city bikes in Oslo – which I use almost every day. This unofficial app helps me locate both bike racks and find out whether there are free slots and/or bikes there. Can’t believe the full-year subscription prices is less than 200NOK. A real bargain.
- Mailbox: Along with iMessage, Phone, and Spotify, the Mailbox is in my iPhone dock. I would almost dare saying that it increases my email productivity by 50%.
- Twitter: Perhaps it should be among the “usual suspects”, but it’s just soooo good. I’m a true addict.
Honorable mentions: Strava, Next Episode, Headspace, Facebook Messenger and Groups, Google Photos
