Nine reasons screenshots are awesome
Chris Dixon doing the listicle thing, and talking about a type of content that is growing increasingly; namely screenshots. There are many advantages to them, an additional one is the free marketing it gives to OS developers (which I wrote about way back).
Still, I’m guessing the large social media companies are scratching their heads thinking about how to alter users’ behavior. While definitely not impossible, it’s a lot harder to analyze/learn from a screenshot of text than from “native text”, and of course they want to learn.
Id’d be interesting to see if someone’s able to come up with a great, intuitive and easy-to-use way to “write on the back of digital images”.
