I think we can all agree this is better than Apple’s iOS 7 redesign, right?
97,000 views of this photo on Dribbble, which is a record. But this points to the problem the upcoming iteration of the iOS visual interface currently has. Apple added too many thin lines — a no-no when trying to simplify — when really they needed to focus on simple shapes. And that an undergraduate design student came up with this is pretty impressive.
Impressive yes, but even more unimpressive by Apple. Especially considering their new ad campaign focuses on their superior design. Still just a beta, and hopefully we’ll see many improvements at the public release.
